Palo Verde Gunworks Aluminum carrier for Uberti ’73s and ’66s. These are the carriers we use in Palo Verde Race Guns and we believe them to be superior to all others available.
Brass carriers weigh about 4 oz., lightened brass carriers weigh about 3 oz., aluminum carriers weigh about 1 0z.
And the weight of the carrier hangs on the end of a lifter arm that is about 3 1/2″ long and is activated about 1/2 ” from the pivot point. Thus,
the weight of the carrier has a mechanical advantage when you are levering down – period. Makes a big difference on slicked guns.
