STOS Lube

This is a clear, synthetic lube that we have grown to really like. It is a light-weight, non-sticky lube that does well in both heat and cold. It does not take much to do the job — just a light smear of STOS is good. Works well for re-loading presses and shotgun hinges too. The syringe is really nice to use, to put it where you want it and in tight spots, but the jar contains a lot more than the syringe and sometimes it is good to get both and refill the syringe from the jar. Note: The syringe plunger comes out rapidly if you remove the needle and lightly blow a little compressed air into the needle end — then re-fill using a popsicle stick.

Yes, the price has gone up. Seems like all prices have been going up. But we are proud that this STOS clear is still a lot cheaper than the other lubes we tested against it. STOS was the best in high heat and really cold.
